Stunning new remote control ceiling extractor with unique slimline profile. Designed to fit between standard joists (running same direction as the hob) to give a beautiful flush fit finish. (If your joists run the other way, this won't be able to sit flush in the ceiling.)
Featuring a central white glass hinged panel (the stainless steel washable grease filters are housed behind it) with changeable colour mood LED lighting and a white outer frame. Attractive Stainless Steel Bluetooth remote control means it's simple to operate without reaching up, but the hood also comes with easy touch controls for manual operation. With a powerful (and quiet) 600m3/hr motor, this will efficiently and effectively clear your kitchen of cooking smells, grease and odours. Now with a recirculation option, you don't need to duct to an outside wall. Using a charcoal filter and a short ducting kit to vent back into the kitchen, this offers a unrivalled solution for a ceiling hood that installs in the existing ceiling line.
The small size of the hood means it is also suitable for some undercabinet installations and chimney breast installations where range cookers are installed in the old chimney alcove. Minimum height for installation is 75/65cm gas/electric.
Using 220 x 90cm rectangular (equivalent to 6") ducting to maintain ease of fitting in the ceiling void (the 90mm height fits easily), you can simply duct straight to the wall and use a rectangular outlet, or convert to 150mm round for sourcing draughtproof or insulated ducting systems. The recirculation version comes with a ducting kit and everything you need to get started.
This is the only slimline recirculation small ceiling hood we know of that can be installed between joists in the existing ceiling line without the need to duct outside. Most recirculating hoods install below the ceiling line as they blow the cleaned air back into the kitchen from vents on the top of the hood. However, the Aria offers the ability to install flush to the ceiling line and duct back into the kitchen from a discrete ceiling vent.
During installation, you use the flexible 220 x 90 ducting tube and round adaptor to connect the exhaust of the hood to the discrete white ceiling vent. The easy-to-replace charcoal filters are installed behind the grease filters on the hood.
*The support beams on the diagram are a suggested installation method. You can use the clips to hang the hood on a baton across the joists.
The diagram shows this configuration only works if the joists are running the same way as the hob. If you are installing across the joists, then no ceiling hood will fit flush to your ceiling.
Please refer to a tradesperson to double-check suitability for your installation.
The product will fit between 8" (203m) and higher joists plus 1 sheet of 12.5mm plasterboard
203mm +12.5mm = 215.5 mm > height of product 207mm. In case of tight installations, a further board or ply can be added to the ceiling ( imagine like a picture frame around the hood) and finished to match the ceiling giving you the room needed in the void between joists.
