The ViandPro Matt Black All Gas Range Cooker features a stunning gas hob with 5 burners. A great feature of the top end ViandPro range cooker is 2 high power Wok burners on the stove top, offering unrivalled power. With 2 powerful burners, any pan can be brought up to temperature in an instant.
The optional hotplate teppenyaki sits on the hob and creates a lovely cooking surface. If you use it on the side of the hob with 2 burners, you can create a 2 zone plate, having a hot end and a medium end, moving the food around as required. Or you can sit it on the central burner and have a single hot zone, perfect for steaks and meat.
This is one of the few range ovens with a lid, which offers a few options for your kitchen. What height to set the lid has caused a few arguments on our display model in the showroom. You can have it set so the cast iron pan supports on the hob are at a similar level to the worktop with the lid sitting higher. When you are cooking, pans don’t have to be lifted too high and can be slid over to the worktop. The other option to set the lid flush height with the worktop, so when it’s closed it creates a continuous usable unbroken surface area. The toughened safety glass is super strong and you don’t have to worry about it breaking.
The other benefit of a lid is you don’t need a splashback behind the range cooker hob. When the lid is in the upright position, it automatically acts as a heatproof splashback. This means you can continue your tiles or décor all around the kitchen and don’t need a splashback interfering with your colour scheme. It’s really easy to lift off and clean, simply lifting off vertically when it’s in the upright position. The only negative we’ve found is there is no soft close mechanism, so it does need to be closed manually.
The oven itself is a single cavity oven. This is our preference for smaller range cookers. This means you get maximum space for cooking large items. With a super 108 litre capacity, you’ll struggle to find food that won’t fit! The oven is super simple to use, with auto ignition and flame failure safety measures, simply twist and go. The mechanical timer means you can set an alarm with a quick turn of the knob.
One of our favourite features is the rotisserie. Using the special tray provided, you can skewer your chicken and with a simple switch it will gently rotate. We guarantee that once you get experienced with using it, you’ll be hooked. Slow roasted, marinated, regularly basted poultry is the best. The juices cascading onto a veg tray below giving either unbeatable roast potatoes or into a tray with carrots, onions celery and garlic to create a base for the best gravy. Once done, you can simply replace the rotisserie shelf with a regular shelf (2 are included).
In conclusion, this is a good looking appliance with some unique features. A great hob with 2 wok burners auto ignition and flame failure. LPG or natural gas. A safety glass lid, chicken rotisserie, massive oven space, chunky easy to use controls. If you looking for a new freestanding gas range cooker, this is an excellent choice.
