Curved Glass Hoods

Curved glass cooker hoods remain a popular choice for kitchens where the hob is positioned against a wall. Their projecting glass canopy provides a defined extraction area above the cooking surface, while the combination of clear glass and stainless steel creates a lighter appearance than a completely enclosed chimney hood.

The ViandPro Curve range is available in 60cm, 80cm and 90cm widths, covering common hob sizes and kitchen layouts. Each model uses the same curved glass and stainless steel design, making it straightforward to choose the width that best suits the cooking area without changing the overall appearance of the extractor.

Choose the right width for your hob

Cooker hood width is one of the first things to consider. The extractor should provide suitable coverage over the cooking area, so the dimensions of both the hob and the available wall space should be checked before ordering.

A 60cm curved glass hood is well suited to many standard-width hobs, while the 80cm and 90cm versions provide additional coverage for wider cooking appliances. Always check the precise product dimensions and required installation clearances rather than relying on nominal width alone.

Extraction for everyday cooking

ViandPro Curve cooker hoods provide three extraction speeds, with airflow ranging from approximately 343 to 580.5 m³/h. This allows the extraction level to be adjusted according to what is being cooked rather than operating continuously at maximum power.

Touch controls with an LED display are positioned conveniently at the front of the hood, while a five-minute countdown function can continue extraction briefly after cooking before automatically switching the hood off.

Task lighting and illuminated glass

Integrated LED task lights illuminate the hob and cooking area below. The Curve range also incorporates RGB accent lighting around the glass canopy, allowing the illuminated edge to provide a decorative lighting feature independently of the main cooking lights.

Ducted or recirculating installation

The Curve range can be installed for either external extraction or recirculation. With a ducted installation, cooking vapours and odours are carried outside through suitable ducting. This is generally the preferred arrangement where a practical external duct route is available.

Where external ducting is not possible, the hood can operate in recirculation mode using optional carbon filters. The air passes through the grease and carbon filtration before being returned to the kitchen.

Cleaning and maintenance

Each Curve hood uses removable aluminium grease filters to capture grease from the extracted air. These filters are washable and should be cleaned regularly to maintain effective airflow and filtration. Carbon filters used for recirculation are separate consumable items and require periodic replacement.
